OSEA is very excited to welcome Melissa Harris to our expanding team! Melissa, VP of Client Acquisition, was brought on to be the driving force in getting our new application, Safety Badger, out to our clients. Melissa has been in Sales and Marketing for over 20 years working in various industries in multiple capacities. More recently, she was the director of marketing at Pointman and before that at Medaille College.

Melissa is a very quick study! In a matter of weeks, she has a full grasp of all our offerings, attends safety training, as well as conducted site safety audits. All of this on top of getting her hands around our game-changing application, Safety Badger. Because starting a new job isn’t stressful enough, we asked her a ton of questions about her initial thoughts, to which she said “my favorite thing about working in the safety and consulting industry is providing solutions to real safety challenges clients face. The most exciting thing thus far was to see our app in action, which provides users with quick and easy information to their safety challenges which inevitably helps them avoid costly OSHA fines and workplace injuries which happen far too often.”

Outside of the office, Melissa enjoys performing stand up comedy. And although she seems quiet and focused in the office, she has a great stage presence. Another fun fact about Melissa is that she loves traveling! She has already stepped foot on 46 of our 50 states. Can you guess the states she’s still missing? North and South Dakota, Montana, and Alaska! Although we know the weather in Alaska is the same as Buffalo this time of year!
