We are very excited to announce Glenn Wygant has joined the OSEA Team as our newest Senior Safety Manager. Glenn has already become involved quickly with training and RSP projects and here’s what he had to say, “OSEA is, in my opinion, the only consulting company in Upstate and Western NY that is experienced in and committed to the safety field. Many environmental-consulting companies have one or two safety experts, but OSEA has a whole team of safety experts with diverse past experiences and different areas of specialization,”. Glenn is eager to learn from all the safety experts OSEA has to teach him more about different areas of the industry.

Glenn holds a Master of Science degree in Geochemistry from SUNY Binghamton. After graduating, he spent ten years working as a groundwater geologist in downstate New York. Glenn eventually moved onto working as an EHS engineer for 25+ years in Western New York. He has worked at many different factories, including auto and aerospace. When asked about his favorite thing about working in the safety & consulting industry, Glenn states, “As a consultant, I can just focus on the technical aspects and work directly with clients who already understand the importance of EHS. When working in industry I was constantly trying to justify the importance of considering the EHS aspects of current and future projects and obtain funding.”

Glenn is a volunteer hunter-safety instructor for the NYSDEC (Region 9, Erie County). He is certified to teach the general hunter-safety and bow-hunting class. Glenn has always been a fan of the outdoors and sees the need to get our younger generations back outdoors and away from playing with electronics. When not working, Glenn enjoys spending time with his granddaughter Izzy, quoting Peppa Pig together.
