Changes in OSHA Injury Record-Keeping Laws

Thursday, February 28, 2019 Julia Costa

As per OSHA's regulations, companies with 250 or more employees won't be required to submit the OSHA Form 300 and Form 301 electronically. OSHA states that the reason for change is worker privacy and how sensitive those descriptions can be. Instead they are urging employers to focus their safety efforts and to enable workers to decide if the workplaces were safe. This final rule does not affect an employer's job to maintain these forms, however, onsite. OSHA will continue to ask for these forms as needed through inspections and actions of enforcement.
