While crime may be a pervasive issue, there are numerous tools and resources available that can help to mitigate risks and foster a sense of security. National Crime Prevention Month, observed annually, serves as an important initiative aimed at raising awareness about crime prevention strategies and promoting community involvement. This campaign highlights the significance of proactive measures that both individuals and organizations can undertake to mitigate crime, thereby fostering safer environments. Each year, the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) highlights each week of October with various safety themes. The lineup for this year 2024 Crime Prevention Month is as follows;

The cornerstone of effective crime prevention lies in education and the dissemination of information.
