Our training programs offer expert instructors, useful training manuals utilizing current regulatory information and effective audio and video tools. Training is conducted at our facilities or on-site at your business location. Below are a list of courses currently taught by OSEA expert professionals.
24-Hour HazWOPER
This course provides essential employee training for sites that presently have hazardous waste characteristics or hazardous waste operations in place. EPA/OSHA required.
40-Hour HazWOPER
EPA/OSHA required. 24 Hazwoper topics plus site plans and controls, investigations, excavations, waste manifesting and more.
8 Hr. HazWOPER Re-Certification
This course provides re-certification in all topics from 40-Hr. HazWOPER or 24-Hr. HazWOPER.
Accident Investigation
Presents procedures and methods for establishing and maintaining effective accident investigation programs. Covers causation, investigation techniques and reporting.
Asbestos, Lead, Silica Safety Awareness
This course provides an overview of the regulations governing asbestos, lead and silica in the workplace. The course discusses the requirements for written safety programs, medical surveillance programs and further training for each of these hazards.
Bloodborne Pathogens/Exposure Control Plan
Overview of plan requirements and elimination of exposures.
Confined Space Entrant & Attendant
OSHA Certification Course for Safe Confined Space Entry. OSHA requires training for all confined space entries.
Confined Space Entry Rescue
Includes classroom training and hands-on rescue scenarios with equipment. Topics covered include permits, hazard communication, hot work and ventilation, atmospheric testing and PPE (1910.146).
Confined Space Supervisor
Per 1910.146, covers supervisor overall accountability for entry conditions including permits, entry procedures, hazard assessment, equipment and contractor obligations. Includes review of permit system, training needs and coordination of employer/contractor responsibilities.
Control of Hazardous Energy-Lockout/Tagout
Per 29CFR 1910.147. Required training in utilization of procedures to prevent unexpected energy startup, or release of stored energy.
Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation
Certification and Re-certification training as it relates to 29 CFR 1910.95 guidelines. Includes principles of noise analysis and control and hearing conservation programming. Covers audiogram equipment, testing and review.
Electrical Arc Flash Safety-NFPA 70E
OSHA has recognized that some injuries in the workplace are caused by arc flash, a brief but extremely hot electrical fire that can occur during certain electrical activities. Employees wearing flammable clothing suffer severe injuries as clothing continues to burn after the flash has dissipated. Students will learn how to perform the NFPA 70E hazard risk assessment, create and implement a documented electrical safety policy, and ensure employees use properly maintained protective equipment.
Electrical Safety- Welding/Cutting Safety
Electrical safety requirements through 29 CFR 1910.301-308 will be discussed including temporary/permanent wiring, the use/misuse of extension cords, grounding systems, ground-fault circuit interrupters (GFCIs), and other program elements.

Subpart S training and Lockout tagout requirements of 1910.147
Fall Protection Competent Person
Per 1926.500-503.�Covers all aspects of fall protection regulations including guardrails, safety nets, personal fall arrest, positioning devices and warning line systems.�Specific needs at the job site will be addressed.�OSHA requires a Competent Person on site for all work above 6 feet, residential and commercial
First Aid/CPR/AED
Give your company and employees the tools to respond effectively to an emergency, and maintain compliance with OSHA standards. National Safety Council First Aid certification valid for 3 years; CPR certification valid for 2 years.
Handling OSHA Inspections
Guide to preparation, on-site handling of the inspection, and follow up. Find out what concerns are at the top of the OSHA inspector’s list. The course will outline rights and responsibilities from workplace access to the closing conference.
Hazard Communication/GHS
Compliance with OSHA 1910.1200. Required course instructs employees on potentially dangerous chemicals they work with on a daily basis. A written program is covered which includes chemical inventory, proper labeling requirements, Material Safety Data Sheets and detailed guidelines for implementation of regulation. Overview of Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling.
Hazardous Material Transportation
Training for safe transportation of hazardous materials. The specific DOT regulations fall under 49 CFR Parts 171-177 and deal with not only DOT regulations but also information and rules as presented by the Pipeline & Hazardous Materials Safety Administration.
Intro to OSHA / Record keeping
Basics of OSHA; requirements to track and record workplace injuries and illnesses. Regulations, responsibilities, data collection, forms.
Introduction to Office Safety
Training addresses hazard communication, emergency action planning, outside contractor safety, security, workplace violence and basic office ergonomics.
Job Hazard Analysis
Developmen tof the JHA for necessary job planning to understand the task, hazards involved, PPE required.
Lockout/Tagout-Authorized
Per 29 CFR 1910.331-335 and .147; compliance, procedures, responsibilities of Authorized person who performs LOTO during servicing or maintenance of equipment.
Machine Guarding
Machine guarding basics including Safety guards, Moving parts and guarding requirements, Point of operation, Fixed guards, Special guards, Power transmission guarding, and special considerations. These topics will be supported by reference to regulatory requirements.
Means of Egress, Fire Protection and Emergency Action Planning
Since the events of 9/11 emergency action planning is a priority for business and industry. This course will try and help planners to think outside of the box in anticipating emergency situations and the response necessary for their control .
OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety
Per 29CFR 1926.21. his course offers compliance safety training to prepare all employees for the hazards found on contractor job sites. Students will receive OSHA certification.
OSHA 10 Hour General Industry Safety
Per 29CFR 1910 regulations, designed especially for production oriented persons such as plant managers, supervisors, employees and safety committees. Students will receive OSHA certification.
OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety
Covers all 10-Hr Construction topics, plus additional topics as mandated by OSHA for more in-depth coverage of construction safety, e.g., blasting/demolition, lead hazards, steel erection, concrete/masonry work.

OSHA Required Inspections
OSHA mandates periodic inspections on a multitude of topics. This course will discuss required action on electrical safety, permit-required confined space entry, control of hazardous energy, emergency action planning, fire safety, hazard communication, bloodborne pathogens and exposures to workplace dusts, mists and vapors.
Powered Industrial Truck-Train the Trainer
Classroom instruction will cover the following topics; pre-trip inspection, safe load handling, stacking/unstacking, safe transport, stability triangle, load center distance, tip over causes, pedestrian safety, and fueling/battery charging. There will also be a Train-the-Trainer component and attendees will learn how to present PIT training in an effective manner, while maintaining the interest of their audience.
Respiratory Protection
Standards and regulations, hazard identification, types of respirators with protection factors. Selection, use and maintenance of respirators, and design of company respiratory protection program.
Respiratory Protection Progam for Administrators
The use of respiratory protection in business and industry requires the training of an administrator for the program. This course will address initial air sampling, medical prequalification, respirator selection, fit testing, cleaning, maintenance and storage and recordkeeping for this program.

Discussion of methods used to measure safety performance.
Scaffold Competent Person
Per 29CFR 1926.451-employees erecting or dismantling supported scaffolds must have a competent person available. Scaffolds can be erected, moved, dismantled or altered only under the supervision of a skilled, trained competent person.
Scaffold User
Overview of standards and OSHA training requirements: types of scaffolds, hazards and prevention. Covers requirements for ties, planking, effect of wind force, general safety guidelines and inspection checklist.
SHECN (16 hour)
Required safety training for all employees to work at facilities in the Safety, Health, Environmental Compliance Network. Refresher training to be announced.
SHECN 8-hr Refresher
The refresher training is required every 3 years for all employees to work at facilities in the Safety, Health, Environmental Compliance Network. Basic content will be reviewed and tested. Initial 16-hr SHECN training is a prerequisite.
Toxic Mold and Other IAQ Issues
Learn the basics of mold, what are some of the dangerous molds and how can they be controlled in the workplace. Basic terms will be discussed, recognition, evaluation and control options, as well as sensitivity to mold for building occupants and other IAQ issues.
Trenching/Excavation Competent Person
Per 29CFR 1926.650.�Fulfills training requirement for a competent person in charge and evaluating excavation or trenching 5 ft. or more in depth.�
Underground Construction/ Demolition
Per 29 CFR 1926.800 and .850. Recognizing the hazards of underground construction and demolition activities, including explosive atmospheres, flammability, fall, as well as engineering controls and PPE.
Walking/Working Surfaces, Materials Handling
Working areas, elevations, holes in floors, and guardrails, loading docks, powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and other elements are discussed.
Work Zone Safety/Flagging
Work zone safety requirements specific to Department of Transportation including work zone set up, maintenance of protective gear and equipment, as well as flaggers' safety training pursuant to OSHA 1926.201(a).
